About us

Hey there! My name is Mounika and I’m in love with Moroccan rugs and carpets. By birth, I am a Moroccan, but I have been going between Brooklyn, Morocco, and New York(where I am currently residing). I have spent my entire life around Moroccan carpets and have gained my knowledge from my dad who is 78 years old and the finest, skilled and certified rug and kilim accumulators and also an expert. We have toured entire Morocco together, exploring the desert, the mountains, the sea, small houses, Berber villages, and attended many auctions for rugs.

I've learned about different carpets from an early age from my dad. He is a successful businessman and a Berber carpet merchant in Marrakesh. Through my travels with my father, I have learned just how to clean and repair these unique and tribal rugs, as well as how to buy and sell these carpets. Furthermore, I also gained knowledge relating to Barbarian people and also about their carpet weaving techniques and patterns. The first and foremost thing that my father educated me about was how to interact with these artisans. He always told me how to establish good business associations and that to give the craftsmen utmost honesty and respect. After that, I started the same business and became a carpet merchant, and travelled overseas. I have all the information that my father provided safe with me. I have been selling rugs and carpets worldwide, even in the U.S. I have sold them at different craft shows and markets. I am now selling these Moroccan carpets that are of the highest quality, also available online.

My first and foremost goal is customer satisfaction by selling 100% authentic and superior quality Moroccan rugs and carpets. I personally see to the fact that all my products adhere to all the quality standards well and my customers get the best products without any damage or defects, stains, or odors. I also ensure that the shipping process is speedy and safe. I aim to establish a trustworthy and honest relationship with my craftsmen and my customers simultaneously.

Sadly, all these traditional skills and unique crafts are now disappearing from the world and also Morocco. The main reason is political and economic issues as well mass globalization.

To bring back these traditional arts and crafts, I am aiming to increase and develop my storehouse and purchase more of these beautiful and vintage Berber carpets. In my opinion, they are the true treasures of the future. I would love to pass all my experience and knowledge to my child in the future.
